Terms of Service
Welcome to CookieConsentHQ. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of cookieconsenthq.com and the CookieConsentHQ platform.
CookieConsentHQ is operated by Hamza Ahmad Aslam, a sole proprietor based in Pakistan, at Apartment 401, 29AA, Bahria Town, Lahore, Pakistan ("CookieConsentHQ", "we", "us" or "our").
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you use CookieConsentHQ on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that business.
1. Our services
CookieConsentHQ provides software to help website owners manage cookie consent and privacy preferences.
Features include:
- Cookie consent banners and preference management.
- Website cookie scanning and classification.
- Blocking supported tracking technologies until the required consent is obtained.
- Consent record storage.
- Google Consent Mode v2 integration and health monitoring.
- Consent-rate A/B testing.
- Geographic targeting and Global Privacy Control (GPC) support.
- Integrations with WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Squarespace, Google Tag Manager and other websites.
Features and availability may vary by subscription plan.
We may improve, modify or discontinue individual features. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes that substantially reduce paid functionality.
2. Accounts and responsibilities
You must provide accurate account information and keep it updated.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account.
- All activity conducted through your account.
- Ensuring you have permission to install CookieConsentHQ on each website.
- Correctly configuring your consent banner and tracking integrations.
- Maintaining accurate privacy notices and cookie disclosures.
- Complying with laws applicable to your business and website visitors.
You must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access or use it for unlawful activities.
You remain responsible for the content, operation and legal obligations of your websites.
3. Subscription plans and pricing
Our standard subscription plans are:
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Pageviews per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 25,000 |
| Starter | $8 | $80 | 150,000 |
| Growth | $18 | $180 | 750,000 |
| Business | $39 | $390 | 5,000,000 |
| Agency | $79 | $790 | 10,000,000, pooled across up to 25 websites |
Pageview allowances apply per website, except on the Agency plan. Pageviews are measured by sampling and are estimates.
Annual subscriptions cost 10 times the corresponding monthly price.
Prices are listed in US dollars. Applicable taxes, payment details and the final amount payable are shown during checkout.
Subscription features and website allowances are described on our pricing page.
We may change prices with reasonable advance notice. Price changes for existing subscriptions will apply from a subsequent renewal, subject to applicable law.
4. Pageview allowances; your banner keeps working
Each plan includes a monthly pageview allowance, shown above.
Exceeding your allowance never switches off your consent banner or its tracker blocking. We do not charge overage fees and we do not upgrade your plan automatically.
On paid plans, if a website regularly exceeds its allowance, we will contact you to suggest a suitable plan.
On the Free plan, once a website exceeds its monthly allowance, new consent records are not stored for the rest of that calendar month (UTC). The banner, blocking and visitors' choices on their own devices continue to work. Storage resumes at the start of the next month or when you upgrade. If you rely on consent records as evidence, choose a plan that covers your traffic.
We reserve the right to address automated abuse, deliberate misuse, attacks or activity that materially threatens platform security or reliability. Any necessary restriction will be proportionate to the issue, with advance notice where reasonably possible.
5. Billing and payment processing
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Paddle processes payments, manages billing transactions and handles applicable transaction taxes.
Your purchase may also be subject to Paddle's buyer terms, available at https://www.paddle.com.
CookieConsentHQ remains responsible for providing technical support for its software.
We do not directly process or store complete payment card details submitted through Paddle's checkout.
6. Automatic renewal and cancellation
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or annual billing period unless canceled.
You authorize recurring charges for the selected subscription until cancellation.
You may cancel at any time through the billing portal linked to your account.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. You retain access to your paid subscription until that period expires.
Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund payments already made.
After the paid period ends, your account may move to the Free plan, subject to its available features and limits.
You are responsible for ensuring your website's consent setup remains appropriate if paid functionality ends.
7. Refunds
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment for any paid plan, whether monthly or annual.
Renewal payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
Full conditions are described in our Refund Policy at https://cookieconsenthq.com/legal/refund.
Refund requests may be submitted through support@cookieconsenthq.com or Paddle's buyer support.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory refund or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Privacy and data processing
We process account information as described in our Privacy Policy.
When you use CookieConsentHQ to collect and store consent information about visitors to your websites:
- You act as the data controller or equivalent responsible business.
- CookieConsentHQ acts as your data processor or service provider.
- You determine the applicable legal basis, consent requirements and purposes of processing.
- We process visitor data according to the Data Processing Agreement and your documented instructions.
Our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these Terms where applicable.
Consent records are stored in an EU database hosted by Neon in Frankfurt, Germany, subject to the international processing arrangements described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
9. No legal advice or compliance guarantee
CookieConsentHQ is a software platform, not a law firm or legal adviser.
Our tools are designed to help you comply with applicable privacy laws, including GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA.
However, using CookieConsentHQ does not guarantee legal compliance.
Legal requirements depend on your jurisdiction, website configuration, tracking technologies, privacy notices and business practices.
Cookie classifications, regulatory guidance, consent monitoring results and AI-generated suggestions are informational tools, not legal opinions.
You should obtain independent legal advice when necessary.
10. Service availability and monitoring
We take reasonable steps to maintain service reliability, security and performance.
However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, third-party outages, internet failures or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Consent Mode health alerts, conversion-loss estimates and A/B testing results are diagnostic estimates. They do not guarantee accurate advertising attribution, specific conversion improvements or business outcomes.
You remain responsible for checking that your consent implementation works correctly on your website.
11. Intellectual property
CookieConsentHQ and its underlying software, branding, documentation and technology belong to Hamza Ahmad Aslam or its licensors.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of your website content and customer data.
You grant us the limited rights necessary to process that data and provide the service.
You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or commercially exploit our software except as permitted by law or expressly authorized.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of:
- Material violations of these Terms.
- Unlawful or abusive activity.
- Security threats.
- Fraudulent transactions or unresolved payment failures.
- Legal or regulatory requirements.
Where practical, we will notify you and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue.
We will not suspend consent banners because a website exceeds its pageview allowance.
You may close your account by contacting support@cookieconsenthq.com.
Handling of customer data after termination is governed by our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
13. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, CookieConsentHQ is provided on an "as available" basis.
We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement to the extent such disclaimers are legally permitted.
We do not guarantee that our software will identify every cookie, block every tracker, prevent every consent configuration error or satisfy every legal requirement.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CookieConsentHQ and Hamza Ahmad Aslam will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost conversions or business interruption.
Our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the service will not exceed the total fees actually paid for CookieConsentHQ subscriptions during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
This limitation does not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, liability that cannot legally be limited or obligations that applicable data protection laws or mandatory Standard Contractual Clauses prohibit us from limiting.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services, business practices or legal requirements.
We will provide reasonable notice of material changes through email, the dashboard or our website.
Continued use after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where legally permitted.
If you disagree with a material change, you may discontinue using the service and cancel your subscription.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to mandatory applicable laws and dispute-resolution rights, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of Pakistan.
Nothing in this section overrides mandatory rights under applicable privacy laws, consumer protection laws or international data transfer agreements.
